Ian Furman portfolio

              Hello fellow classmates, future students , and overall AP English 11 enthusisists. For those of you who are unaware of my prominent existance in this class my name is Ian Furman. I am a student at Landstown High School that enjoys the features of the unknown world of space, as shown in this portfolio. As a person I'm really expressive and enjoys participating in various conversations in order to share my opinions with others. My hopes for this portfolio is for all of you to see how I have improved as a writer and as a student over the year and hopefully you may learn more about me.
               As a student I really didn’t expect much from AP English 11 at the start of the year. After barely finishing the extremely long summer assignment for this class I had started to regret my descion of signing up for this class; however, the benefits of the class far outweighed the workload. I knew that this class was very writing heavy and I had been able to write a pretty solid story in the past, until I realized that there would be a time limit. Ever since my first failed attempts at writing a passable essay within a limited time I had made it my personal goal to write an essay that could accurately convey the themes of a work in a solid amount of time and it would still be easy to read. Overall what I have learned in this class has drastically improved my skills as a writer and I’m ever greateful to Mrs. Morris for teaching me the skills to write at a college level.

           Exclusively on this website I have provide for all of you multiple examples of how one may begin as inexpirienced as I was in the field of writing, especially on a time limit, and manage to take a complete one eighty and break the stream of barely passing essays.
